On March 2nd, the library held the 6th Annual Krueger-Rhodes to honor the best student films and those that displayed amazing creativity in Mrs. Krueger’s Mass Media classes and Mr. Rhodes’ Digital Video Production classes. The festivities began with the visually striking short film, Venganza before Mr. Rhodes gave out his awards honoring the best in editing, cinematography, special effects, and also honoring members of MHS student TV station, Studio 462.
Mrs. Krueger began her awards with photo essays before moving to documentaries with topics spanning from the life of a swimmer to a mockumentary about Millburn High School. Next, she awarded the short films with categories in acting, directing, editing, ensemble, and writing as well as best music video, non dialogue film, adapted film, original film, and voiceover. The ceremony ended with the movie, Millennials, a satirical documentary on today’s youth.
