On Monday, Millburn High School Boys Basketball took on Golda Och Academy in the first round of the Essex County Tournament.

The Millers won handily 56-45 with great contributions from many players on the team. Sophomore Ross Gang and Junior Zach Ravitz contributed twelve eleven points respectively. Max Marell provided a spark off the bench for the Millers with eleven points while shooting three for four from behind the arc.

Golda Och’s Noah Susskind dominated the game on the other side with eighteen points. He also added six assists and two steals. In addition, Ari Esrig played stellar on defense for West Orange.

This game served as a building block for the Millers, as there are high expectations for the rest of the season after their recent performances. Hopefully, they’ll pick up the win in the next round of the tournament at home versus Verona.
