Last Friday, Millburn High School Boys Basketball took on West Orange High School in their first game of the season. The Millers lost to the visitors 59-51 despite great contributions from many players on the Millburn squad.

Sophomore Ross Gang and Junior Zach Ravitz contributed seventeen points each while Ravitz also chipped in with twelve rebounds. Adam Liu provided a spark off the bench in his first varsity appearance for the Millers with two points in addition to many key steals and assists.

West Orange’s Patrick Jamison dominated the game with sixteen points coming from four three pointers and a couple free throws. He also added six assists and steals. In addition, Jeramiah Moore had a double double and played stellar on defense for West Orange.

This game served as a wakeup call for the Millers, as there are high expectations for them this season. Hopefully, they pick up the win in their next game at West Essex.
