SHORT HILLS, NJ – It’s time to dive! Well, not until May, but you get the point.

Millburn Recreation officially opened registration for the 2017 pool season online this past Friday and mailed out paper registration forms to Millburn/Short Hills residents this past weekend. The pool, located at Gero Park, features a kids pool, a main pool, a slide, and diving board areas as well as covered seating and a snack bar area. Family memberships will cost $290 this year, and individual memberships cost $156 (the same as last year). Other types of memberships will be available as well, such as senior citizen and child care. The season is sure to be another success, and it’s partially thanks to the staff that the recreation department hires each year. Employees are set to be interviewed this coming weekend, with all successful hires ready to go in early May for setup. There will also be a new face at the pool this season, as former assistant manager Peter Morgan left the position effective this summer.

It is highly recommended that families register now! Registering before May 1st will also get you 6 free guest passes (for a family membership) or 3 free passes for individuals and seniors.

Additionally, people interested in swim lessons should go to the pool on Saturday, June 3rd for registration. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If there are remaining spots for lessons, there will be another registration session on the following Saturday.

Register online at: register.communitypass.net/millburn, or physically send in the registration form.

See you this summer!
