Studio 462 was created in 2013 as Millburn High School’s TV station. The broadcasting network, named after the address of the school, is entirely student-run, from weekly news shows to live streaming events. The Studio is overseen by faculty advisor Gabriel Rhodes. Studio 462 celebrates its seventh year operating during the 2019-2020 year.
As the studio grows, the group adds more members, which allows them to cover more events. Generally, in the fall, the Studio covers soccer and football; in winter: basketball; and in spring: lacrosse. In addition to other sports covered, the Studio live streams other events such as the fall drama and the annual World Language Department Culture Night.
Studio 462 also contacts local businesses which would like to sponsor the network. Students make commercials in exchange for the sponsorship, and the businesses are advertised on air during events.
You can view all of Studio 462’s saved videos on this site and at www.studio462.org/live, where the live streams are hosted.
